Switched to sky mobile

I switched to sky mobile yesterday and I still have no reception. How long does it take to change over ? Does sky do it automatically or do o have to contact Vodafone ?

Hi @cmgc  did you get and activate a new sky sim ? Did you get a PAC from Vodafone and give it to sky ? If you did this yesterday then porting doesn't happen at weekends so it will be Monday at the earliest before your number would change. Your Vodafone sim will still work until the port starts.

Have you activated your Sky SIM?

 

Did you obtain a PAC from vodaphone?

I went through the steps but I wasn't asked for a PAC code. I am unable to log into my Vodafone account now and my Vodafone network is not working either . I have no reception at all

So have you activated your Sky SIM (and put it in your phone)?

 

If you've closed your Vodaphone account without a PAC then the number may be lost.  You'll have to contact Vodaphone directly to see if they can issue a PAC.

Hi @cmgc  as mentioned by @PandJ2020  if you have closed your Vodafone account without getting a PAC then that number will be gone. You will have to use the new number with your new sky sim. Have you activated the new sky sim ?

Yes I activated the sim and I still have no reception but am receiving messages on wifi

Depending on where you're located it could be due to yesterdays storm. My Sky mobile has been without service for over 24 hours now
