Survey regarding unused SIM

As a Sky VIP I received an offer for much reduced SIM prices for 24 months. Contacting Sky support it proved impossible to convert the 2 SIMs I had to the new pricing so I chose to cancel them and order 2 new SIMs with the new  contract rate. I received 3 SIMs in the post and was a bit confused until I found a note in the Sky material saying I might receive more SIMs than ordered. I believe this info was in the red card carrier containing the SIM. I have now received a survey from Sky asking why I haven't activated all 3 SIMs, even though I only ordered 2. In an attempt to complete the I found it impossible to describe this, 1) the survey assumed I had canceled to stop using the device or move network, neither true, and, 2) while the copy presenting the survey specifically mentions the unactivated SIM as the reason for the survey, the survey itself has nothing about this. Does anyone know what is going on at Sky? From my view no one has an overall view and various departments are unaware of other depts activities and procedures.

It would be automated.  If you cancelled a dataplan then that probably triggered it, regardless of whether you had ordered more.

Remember any new dataplans will have new phone numbers...  (You cannot port within a network)

I believe sometimes they avail a 'free' dataplan which can be used to consume piggybank data.  You can only activate the plans enabled on your account...

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
