Sky Roaming

I traveled to Ghana on the 16th December and made sure that I turned roaming & mobile data off, in the UK airport before I left. (Have been stung before)
however, looking at my most recent bill, I have been changed just under £5 for data on the day that I arrived. 
only thing I can think off is the sky text message on arrival telling me about data usage. 
Any other people had this?

Hi @John697  i find the only way to avoid any charges is to also put the phone in flight mode then only use free WiFi when available. I have had small amounts charged in the Caribbean, I put it down to some sort of data "leakage". Never had when putting phone in flight mode.
