Sky Network Call from Private Number - Scam Warning

This post is just to warn other Sky Mobile users that someone is calling from a Private Number purporting to be from Sky Network and offering you up to 70 per cent off your mobile bill each month.

I didn't let the call get into giving out personal details or bank information etc but the fact it was an Indian accent calling from a Private Number meant I knew it was not a genuine Sky call.

I simply wanted to warn other customers especially those who are maybe not as savvy to scam tactics to simply end this call if you get it as soon as you can.

Edit: After calling Sky myself, it was confirmed that no-one from Sky has tried calling me today.

Thanks for the warning, I often get these calls but they usually say they're from Vodafone so know they're scammers (I know they'll be scammers anyway though).
I'd report the number via the whocalledme website: https://who-called.co.uk/

Re: Sky Network Call from Private Number - Scam Warning

I would report it but unfortunately the call ID was Private Number. So, I was immediately suspicious but had to answer as I was expecting a call from a business.

Thanks. Didn't realise it was a withheld number.

Re: Sky Network Call from Private Number - Scam Warning

I have received two calls on my Sky Mobile in a month from same female Indian accent asking about my plan and would i like to save 70%. I was thinking scam as soon as they said they were from Sky Network at start of call. I never gave them any information and hung up. this morning with second call, i hung up straight away after they said Sky Network. The telephone number they were calling from is a 020 London number ending in 4537.

Yup, I've had spoofed calls from a 020 number and random mobile (07) numbers...

My husband keeps getting calls from these claiming to be sky mobile. I am the sky bill payer. They say our 4g sim will no longer work soon. Then they ask for your email address

Re: Sky Network Call from Private Number - Scam Warning

I was called by "Sky Network" yesterday but not a private number - a visible London number. Offering to give me 40% off mobile for next year and a free Apple Watch!

I did not divulge personal info other than address and email. Stopped the conversation when they asked for my personal security code for Sky.

They sent an email from "sky@skynetwork.uk"  which does not look right even though the email itself does of course look legit.

I blocked their ring back but they tried a different number - which I then also blocked.

Has anybody else been contacted?

I keep getting these calls as well but I'm only offered 40% 😁.. I hang up as well, definitely a scam, have blocked the numbers too but they call again on different numbers.

Re: Sky Network Call from Private Number - Scam Warning

I've just received a call from a mobile number ending in two nine six. (Sky - why can't we add the full

phome numbers in the body of the message??) claiming to be from sky with someone with a thick Indian accent wanting me

to get an early upgrade on an iPhone 16 pro plus when I have had my 15 max less than a year. I've just had major surgery and explained I was still in hospital and that I couldn't talk. I didn't even have a voice to speak and I told him all of this  but he just kept saying he couldn't email me the details and continued to ask about the plan I had now and how much it cost me!!

I actually remember his voice from an 0800 and withheld number saying that he was calling from

Three mobile a couple of weeks ago and even though I said i wasnt interested he continued to call and call until I blocked the number but then started calling from a different number and did the same. It's harassment  So I don't understand how the police can't really do anything about it. It's really irritating as he remembered which phone I have and that I'm with sky etc. they're just vile. Hope this helps everyone.
