Same here & this has only started in the last 6 weeks. I have 2 x 2Gb plans and my piggy bank has gone down from 20Gb to 7 Gb since then. In the last 3 days I have rolled over 3Gb. When I check my usage the bulk of it is "System Services". After I rolled over 1Gb this morning within 10 minutes it had used 300Mb of data for Sytem Services. I've switched onto Low Data Mode and turned of mobile data for apps I don't use that often to see if that helps

after switching off youtube and instagram using data it seems to have slowed the carnage. it's ads running in the background despite the app not being viewed . never used to be a thing but it is now

My data has been doing the same. I have three mobiles with sky ranging from 6gb to 15gb and all of them have ran out half way through our cycle period. This has never happened before?!!!

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreHi @Steph2809 as above have you checked your phone settings to see what is using the data ?

No resolution at all for me yet, I have to still have Instagram and Flipboard mobile data switched off or my data is gone in no time. Still have to top it up a bit but nowhere near as much. System services is still the big data muncher for me but luckily my wife and daughter have data left at the end of the month which tops up the piggy bank.

Thank you Sir for your prompt reply. I take note of this.

@9mehuls Yes, it seems to have stopped now. I still don't really know the cause but monitored the useage for a month or so and kept changing the settings on apps to stop background usage. Also asked at Apple store. They had no explanation but did some kind of reset which seemed to help. No one seems to have a definitive explanation.

Yes I have planned a visit to the Apple store. I will let you know my progress.
