Sim

Hi, I've had several calls over the last few weeks and they have hung up on me. The call I've had today I managed to keep them in the phone his so called name was Harry! I was unaware of Sky is in joint with O2, and therefore my SIM card is apparently out of date and I need a new one.  But what I didn't agree with is the caller over talking me and not listening to why I wouldn't confirm my email address online as the email came through saying I was changing my password and it's company policy for O2 to do it this way. I asked for clarification by email of this procedure and I got a second code to change my password. I said I needed time to read the email regarding the conversation and they would have to call me back as I was too busy to read it right now. He then replied he was too busy too to ring me back. He kept talking and wouldn't let me speak so I hung up as I didn't feel happy with the situation. So what I need to know is do I need a new SIM card?

It sounds like the call you received was from a scammer as sim cards do not go out of date and unless they are faulty they do not need replacing so what, if any details did you give to this "Harry" ?

Re: Sim

Many thanks as I thought it was strange but the callers are all Indian people and the only thing he got from me was my email address but nothing else.  As when I was asking more questions you could tell he was reading from a script and when he back chatted me to say he was very busy too, no customer service callers don't normally speak to you like that. He was very rude and said he was shouting but he was.  So my next question is are O2 part of Sky now?

Do you use your email address as a login to your Sky account ?

Sky is not part of O2 but for the mobile they use the O2 phone network.
