Sim issue

I didn't realise I had to activate my new sim within 31 days. It's past the 31 days and I've just tried to activate my sim and keep my number, typed in the pac code etc and it said an error message and please try again later.

If you didn't activate the SIM within the 31 days then you have to order a new dataplan.

If you are already with Sky then you cannot transfer your number (easily) to the new SIM.  PAC codes are only for moving networks.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

@H4Zz4

You can order a new sim here:

https://www.sky.com/shop/mobile/plans

You can't use a pac code to move a number between two Sky sims, the work around is to move it to a PAYG network then back to your new Sky sim.

Re: Sim issue

So I've left EE and have a pac code however didn't activate my sky sim within the 31 days. Went to do it and now it won't let me. It's set it up as a sky number and won't let me change it to my pac code to keep my same number if that makes any sense.

I'm not sure what you are trying to do as you don't change a number to a pac code as this code is used only to give to it to a network to move the number.

Re: Sim issue

I decided to leave Ee and requested a pac code.
I received my new phone and SIM card from sky. I didn't activate the SIM card within 31 days as I was still using my EE sim. My Ee contract runs out in a few days time. I went to transfer my number using PAC code to keep my existing number however it wouldn't let me. I can't activate the new SIM card. I haven't used my pac code yet as it won't let me. My pac code runs out soon too. I hope that's clearer. I'm not good with technology so my apologises.

I uderstand now.

Your pac code also lasts 31 days so if this expires then all you need to do is to both order a new sim from Sky and get a new pac code from EE.
