Sim card activation

I've purchased a MacBook for my daughters birthday in April. Do I need to activate the SIM card or can it wait until April?

Hi @Davidxia  SIM cards need to be activated within 31 days or they expire. You can order a new one nearer the time. Are you aware that Mac Books don't have a SIM card slot and you need a dongle/adapter for a sim to work in them ?
