Sim Activation

I have upgraded  to 5 gbytes from my old 3 gbytes sim.  I put in the activation code and had a reply of activation complete.  I then put the new sim in the phone and nothing has changed.  I had a message that I need to activate my sim and it still shows that I have a 3 gbyte sim.  I did this 3 days ago.

Hi @Ruby38  we're both sims with sky ? Did you activate the new sim as a new sim or a replacement ? The new sim would have a new number, is that what you want ? You can't easily port your old number to a new sky sim, you have to port it out of sky then back in if that's what you want ?

Re: Sim Activation

I am a Sky customer, my old 3 G SIM is sky.  I am keeping my number.  I am using the 5 G SIM now as I am no longer able to use the 3 G SIM.  I still only have 3 G of data and not the 5 G I want.

@Ruby38

If you ordered and have activated the 5GB sim then you need to be using that one as you can not directly move the number between both sims so the 5GB will have a new number.

Re: Sim Activation

I am using the 5G SIM there is no other SIM in my phone.  I have only one mobile phone number that I have used for years.  I don't want to change it.
