Signal issues and data issues

Anyone else having signal problems. Dropping and reconnecting every few seconds and cannot make calls without dropping out. In the app it says I've no data but it's just been reset with billing cycle and I've got 156gb in my piggy bank and it's not updating the rollover or when I add data

Yeh it does say mast issues but been saying that for two days! Now signed up for message alerts so hopefully get updated soon. Very frustrating though as it's happening no matter where I am, I take it it's an issue with sky in general at the maybe?

The masts are not owned by Sky so it is the responsibility of whoever does own it to carry out the repairs to it.

Thanks for your response. Hopefully be sorted soon. Shouldn't really rely on our devices so much perhaps 🙈

Funny thing is , I can't even contact sky to get any more information, can't make calls, can't send messages, absolutely nothing. Does anyone know of any other way to contact sky, social media maybe?

Easiest way to speak with sky employee

signal and data issues for the last 5 days has meant I cannot call via FaceTime, WhatsApp or any other method. Cannot send messages other than to an iPhone when using WiFi. What is the easiest way to contact sky. They have now updated to say the  signal issues at the mast will be resolved within 5 days which just is not good enough. Trying to track my daughter and can't. Can't call her at school. Can't call anyone for that matter!

edit: No need for another new thread.

 

Sky don't own or maintain any masts so you and others in the area will be relying on a third party repair. There's nothing Sky can do to quicken this process. I doubt Sky will have any further information other than what you have already.


These are the current methods for contacting Sky. (Depending on your reason for making contact some methods will be more appropriate than others) …

🟩 📞 Customer Services by dialling 150 (free) from either a Sky mobile or a Sky Talk landline.

All calls will start automated which may offer you the online help route or try to send you here to the forum. Stay on the line as long as possible and saying nothing when asked the reason for the call sometimes helps being put in the queue for an agent.

If necessary a number may be visible at the end of the correct help flow.

🟩 Sky Assistant 💬 should also be available via

for most service issues and gives you 24/7 help and a quick response. It should provide you with multiple choice options based on your problem and will provide troubleshooting steps to fix any service issues.

Is anyone else having this problem? My online account is still saying no data , can't make/receive calls or text and I spent 3 hours on the phone yesterday and still no further forward. Still says mast issue but that's been 6 days surely doesn't take that long. All my devices are affected ,I can't even call using WiFi. Are all my devices connected to one mast? I don't understand how that works if I'm out and about surely I'm connecting to different masts 🤦🏼‍♀️😭 I'm loosing the will honestly

Hi @Stephp2  if you are home then all phones will be connecting to the same mast. Sky don't own the network (they use the O2 network) so they are reliant on them fixing any issues and it can takes weeks sometimes. If you are having problems in areas well away from your home then try restarting your phone in those areas.

I don't mean to sound rude but I have tried that. I didn't spend 3 hours on the phone to be told to restart my phone! It's all my 3 devices so it's a problem with my account and they can't tell me what it is and I've just to suck up the fact I cannot make or receive any calls or messages apart from when I'm using WiFi. Even when I am using WiFi I can only message an iPhone I can't call anyone still. Doesn't help that you get passed from one person to the next to the next and still no further forward! So now I have to use someone else's landline to call them!
