Selling on my mobile number

Since joining sky a week ago I keep getting unknown mobile calls. Do they sell your number on. I have opted out of marketing at the time of ordering!

@Maggie321 the only company Sky pass your details on to (which you agreed to when you signed up) is Sky Protect, administered by D & G Finance.

All mobile numbers are recycled so if it's a new number to you then it's possible a previous holder is on a lot of lists.

 

It's also the case that less scrupulous companies (and outright criminals) just use auto-generated dialling across entire number ranges..

Probably getting many scam phone calls, would be a reason someone might decide to change their phone numbers

 

Thus passing on the problem, when the phone number is recycled after 6 months.
