Scammed

I got phoned today by sky to sort my bill I don't want sky sports tnt no more but the problem is I've got scammed to buy 2 mobiles phones which I don't want can you help me

Hi @thomaslancaster  no one here can help. First thing to do is login to your account and change the password. Next you need to call sky to discuss what to do next.

Extremely unlikely it was Sky which you've probably gathered by now.

 

They try to obtain sufficient details so that they can order an expensive mobile phone under your details which subsequently gets sent to your address. The scammers then recontact you saying they've made a mistake and to send it to a (non Sky) address. They then have the device and you have the bill.

 

With any unexpected calls from Sky if the caller asks for your telephone password to confirm you're the account holder (which a genuine Sky agent should in my opinion) initially give an INCORRECT one on purpose. If the caller doesn't challenge it then you know it'll be a scam call.
