SIM not associated with Apple device

I have recently switched to sky and also transferred my number. I was under the impression the transfer was successful however am trying to use FaceTime and iMessage but it seems my number hasn't linked and a message saying "you must have a SIM associated with an apple device to be used for iMessage and FaceTime". I am receiving texts but not iMessages or FaceTime calls.

I tried this also and it has not worked
