SIM card
Just upgraded through sky and they have sent a new sim with my new phone and I've also changed my data plan do I need to active the new sim and how do I keep the same number

@Kieron5199 It sounds like you ordered a new data plan rather than upgrade the one on your current sim. If you wish to keep the same number you'll need to use the old sim, any plan upgrades would be at the current cost on the website not the new customer/sim costs.

I checked before going ahead that it was an upgrade that's why I'm confused to why they want me to activate the new sim

If you activate the new sim then that will have the new plan you ordered but will also come with a new number @Kieron5199 you can use your old sim but that will have your old plan. If you choose to use the new sim you could port your old number to another network on PAYG then port it back to the new sim.

If all you did was to upgrade your phone and you selected the "I do no need a new sim" option then you can ignore these messages so you do not activate the sim so you can keep using the one you already have.
