SIM card to eSIM

I have just ordered a new device which is apparently eSIM only, I already have a sky mobile SIM card, am I going to be able to use my SIM card number etc with the new device? 

Tried getting in touch with sky to have this answered but can't seem to connect with anyone

Hi @BookishHermit  what phone are you getting ? If it is esim only look here for help on how to convert your sim to esim.
