Reinstate service

My services have been cancelled due to miss payments after having financial difficulties. They had been transferred over to a debt company and I started a payment plan to start paying it back over the course of two months. A week after I had paid my first amount (which was over half of what I owed), Sky added the cost of the full phone to the bill which means I now have over £1000 to pay now. Can they do this even when I've started paying it back? I really need my services reinstated but obviously now with this it's going to take forever to pay back. I have tried to find a customer service number or a human to talk to at Sky but it's impossible. I can't ring the '150' number because my services have been cut off.
thank you for any help in advance.

@angle123  I'm afraid if your mobile account has already been cancelled and passed to a DCA Sky won't reisnate it, it's gone too far down the collection process for that.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Hi @angle123  as stated by @GD1  once you get so far in arrears then sky cancel the contract and the full cost of any device is added to the debt. It is explained in the contract you agreed to. Sky won't reinstate your contract and you are liable to pay it.

@angle123

Even when this debt has been paid off I doubt Sky will allow you to have another mobile account as they'll see your payment history as a red flag.

Are your services restricted due to a missed payment?

If they are Sky won’t reinstate them until you’ve paid what you owe and you’ve also set up a new continuous payment method.

Until you’ve done this any calls to Sky will only prompt you to pay.

Restrictions of services are automatic and Skys agents can’t override the process, even if you’re told otherwise. Sky don't allow payment plans on overdue live accounts, nor will they consider promises to pay on or by a certain date.

If your payment is 2+ weeks overdue you will have to pay the next bill as well and if you’re in arrears for 56+ days Sky can fully terminate your subscription (but you’ll still owe the arrears).

If this is part of a credit agreement purchase (mobile or Sky Glass) non payment can see the credit agreement cancelled at which point the full amount becomes due in one payment .

Once your full payment has cleared and is in Sky’s account your services should be reinstated, but this may not be instant. Any payment you make over a weekend or on a Bank Holiday won’t be processed until the following week.

You should be able to pay the bill and set up your direct debit via the MySky app or online using this link
