Receiving a lot of Scam Calls (and so are children)

Is there someone I can speak to about the amount of Spam calls I'm recevied on my Sky Mobile (and so are my children), we must get at least 2 a week. I need to answer calls that I don't always know the number of for work and of late a lot have been scams. I've told my children to ignore all numbers they don't know.

I "wasted" some time today talking to them. Even got escallated to the Supervisor.

For those who are concerend they are always from a London number (system won't let me add the number to warn people - sorry). Saying my mobile phone is about to be cut off unless I upgrade to a 5G Sim (which I already have however apparently it's not really 5G it's just fake to make me think it is). And then pushing for email address so they can send the credit check forms to me. Always keen to say this is a free service!

Luckily I'm aware of what this is (others may not be especially children/older people) and refused to give any informaiton (just send it to the email on my account, I don't need to confirm you already have the details, etc). Very push however unable to answer any technical questions. In the end they told me that they were cutting my SIM off now and to have a good day! My phone is still fine!!

I noticed there is a screening service for the land lines, is this somethign that can be done for phones? A colleage is with O2 and scam calls get screened by their systems and send to a AI to talk to until they hang up!

@Rurales  Sky would not be able to help unless you changed all your mobile numbers even then there is noi guarantee these call would stop.

There should be apps available in the relevant app store that can block such numbers

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

@Rurales

Block the number although they'll just try from another spoofed number.

They try to obtain sufficient details so that they can order an expensive mobile phone under your details which subsequently gets sent to your address. The scammers then recontact you saying they've made a mistake and to send it to a (non Sky) address. They then have the device and you have the bill.

With any unexpected calls from Sky if the caller asks for your telephone password to confirm you're the account holder (which a genuine Sky agent should) initially give an INCORRECT one on purpose. If the caller doesn't challenge it then you know it'll likely be a scam call.
