Possible scam

I have just had a call telling me that Sky is merging with E E and that I should divulge a onetime passcode they sent me. They said my old SIM would stop working in 48 hours. Is this genuine or some sort of scam?

It's a scam @Jooles1 Your sim won't stop and doesn't need replacing.

@Jooles1  And no merger is taking place, if there were it would be all over the news.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.
