Port mobile number during a contract

Hello, 

 

I am considering becoming a Sky customer; but I am wondering the following :

I am currently engaged with Eir until January; but I'd like to move to Sky (to take a phone bill plan) earlier. 
As I'll still continue paying my Eir plan for fee months; I am planning on getting the cheapest data plan (4€) with a new phone number, that I will not use until January. 

Will it be possible for me, in January, to port my Eir phone number into that bill plan and get rid of the temporary one?

Hi @NicolasFisch  not sure if it's the same in ROI as in the UK but would assume so, you only have 31 days to activate the new sky sim, after that if it's not activated then it's cancelled and you would need to order a new one. You can port a number anytime through the contract.
