Poor customer service and messing up my data plan change
I called after seeing a VIP Diamond offer for unlimted data at £10 with a new "plan".
After being told "no new SIM contract only" I read the T&C's back to the operator and asked where does it state this? = it doesnt thats why ! ... after much debate I asked "ok what can we have then" as we arfe paying £28 for two sim only deals. One was 4GB at £10 and the other 25gb at £18,.
Best offer was 10GB at £5 so off we went to sing up but low and behold at the final stages its a new sim only deal AGAIN !!
Said ok reverse it and put us back to where we were but he couldn't do it as they had both been "offers" they could not re apply ....
The outcome is I am fuming and we are paying more for the same packages due to their **bleep** up.
Needless to say PAK codes requested and notice given.
The end ??? nope today I get an email offering us 30% all of the standard deals and guess what yeap all new sims only ! -- and no you cant take a new Sim deal and transfer your number over as its the same network.
Never had any of these issues when the call centre was in Scotland but since they have changed to off shore its gone to pot

The work around is to move the numbers to a PAYG network then back to the new sims so it is possible to do this.

Hi @Paul-A-UK i always ask for the loyalty team and they tend to be able to give some deals. With regards the unlimited data sims, you can get them with new numbers, port your old numbers to another network on PAYG with your PAC codes then port back onto your new unlimited sims. That's if you still wanted to stay with sky.
