Why does sky always take the first 5 gig of data before i top up my phone it has happened every time i do it

Probably due to the data being over 12 months old. 


So after 04/06/25 any data older than 12 months was removed as per the new Sky Mobile Piggybank T's and C's. Data in your Piggybank used to last for 3 years. It's now 12 months. So now at each billing date any data then over 12 months old is removed. Your bill should show this transaction.

 

Customers were made aware of this change in the April 2024 price change letters/emails but it's only come into effect in the summer of 2025 which may be why quite a few customers have forgotten about it.
