Phone and tablet sims

I have a phone account with sky. I have just purchased an  iPad with an eSIM which needs activating. By activating this eSIM will it stop the sim in my phone from working or will both come from the same number/account?

@BigAl9 The Esim will  have its own seperate number and should not affect your phone sim.

Indeed.  (The SIM will have a new phone number associated with it on your account)

However, just to note that 'phone numbers' are not directly applicable to tablets.  They do not generally have the hardware for cellular calls and SMS.  (You'll note there's no phone or SMS functionality apps)

Hi @BigAl9  when activating make sure it's as a new sim not a replacement or that will stop the one in your phone working.
