Persistent poor performance in France and Spain

Hi community,

seeking some help as as usual getting hold of a person in sky is impossible

i travel through France and Spain a lot - each time I travel I also take my company phone (Vodafone).

my own device, now a 16 pro max constantly struggles with anything on the internet and emails, always showing a poor signal if any at all. It has all the correct network settings.

yet my company Vodafone , an second gen se is absolutely fine, alarmingly fast and never an issue.

i feel aggrieved paying a £2 a day roaming charge when the whole experience is far from great or reliable. If I'm missing a trick I'd welcome some advice on settings ?

I take it you have roaming turned on as well as making sure the device is set to either automatic or preferably abroad:

 

Apple:

Settings > Mobile Data > SIM Applications > Make sure this is set to automatic/abroad.

 

Android:

Sky Menu App or SIM toolkit > Roaming > Make sure this is set to automatic/abroad.

Thanks for reply. Phone set to roaming in sim applications ..... that's a new one I've never been asked to check !

In that case I'm not sure there is anything you can do as Sky themselves are not respinsabile for foreign networks. If are spending a certain amount of time in either country perhaps it is worth using a local sim instead.
