Not received ESIM code activation

I ordered a new phone and I am switching from EE to a Sky sim only deal. I ordered an Esim this afternoon but still havent receieved any activation email. One advisor on chat stated it can take 6-7 hours then the next advisor stated 24 hours. He said my order has been accepted its just in a 'held' status. I'm worried that it wont be receievd and what to then do? Any help would be greatly appreciated

At worst if it doesn't come through you could order another esim as you would only start to be charging for it when it has been activated so if this isn't done then it will be cancelled by Sky. I would leave it for at least 24 hours to see if it does then come through.
