Not getting notifications

My phone is not always sending notifications to me regardless of going through and checking all settings and app settings.  Sometimes for example I get a WhatsApp notification and then nothing for days despite having messages. It's the same with iMessage,, messenger also Amazon notifications are coming a few days after they were sent

If you have an iPhone are they turned on via settings > notifications against the apps you want to receive them against. If they are does rebooting the phone help ?

Hi. Yes all turned on via settings/notifications and also checked the WhatsApp settings and all looks ok. I have rebooted the phone twice but still having same problems
