Nightmare calling sky
Calling sky an absolute nightmare. I bought a new phone and transferred my number to it and it is not worth the money and wanted to revert back to my original phone. Have called repeatedly to have a parcel sent to me to return the new mobile and transfer my number back to my old phone. Many times calling and waiting to speak to someone who do not know what they are doing. I now have 2 phones neither of them I can call from. Changing the eSIM back the email and instructions are extremely difficult and don't make sense. I can't even do this now as I can't receive calls or text. After 20 years with sky I am seriously considering leaving and cancelling my direct debit and going somewhere else

Re: Nightmare calling sky
Cancelling the direct debit is definitely not recommended. Doing that is going to cause you additional problems. Your services will be restricted, you won't be able to call Sky, you wont be able to cancel, late payment fees will be added and eventually Sky could involve a debt recovery company which may affect your credit rating.
As long as you’re still within the cooling off period (which is 31 days), you’ll need to contact Sky who will lead you through the returns process. Easiest way is by dialling 150 for free from a Sky mobile or from a Sky landline. If you’ve had it more than 31 days you can't send it back without incurring substantial charges. Some more information is available here

Keep any subsequent proof of posting safe and indefinitely and be aware if you order an alternative device you will undergo further credit checks.

Doing that is the worst thing you can do as will you my be annoyed about this you will only find yourself with further issues if you do this.
If they still haven't sent you the return packaging then it might be worth putting in a complaint:
