New sim not on my account

I got my son a new sim and phone from my account (all signed in and found the delivery etc from my account) late last year. I had to ring up and activate it.

I've not really looked at it much as he's never had a problem and never needed any more data.

This month he has used his data and I thought I'd send him over some of nine from the piggy bank - only to find his sim and phone are not on my account anywhere. 

is there a reason for this? What have I done wrong? 
I've tried the virtual assistant but nothing, and there doesn't seem to be an option in the help section for this, or even to talk to an actual person. It all brings me back to the community.

It sounds like that for whatever reason his sim is not on your accout so he will have to set up is own one to access his own piggybank.

But that's the thing, I don't want him to have his own. I wanted his on mine as I don't usually use all my data and I wanted to give him data from my piggy bank in these cases

There is nothing that can be done now I'm afraid as he will have his own account no matter what you want as the sim can not be linked to yours I'm afraid.
