New sim card through Sky VIP

I have ordered a new sim card through a deal with Sky VIP (50gb for £10).  I'm already with Sky mobile and want to keep my number.  Yesterday the said sim card arrived.  I followed the instructions step by step and the sim card wouldn't work.  Phoned Sky and was told to put old sim card by in my phone and the agent ordered a new sim card.  The sim card hasn't arrived as promised and I'm getting messages to activate my new sim card.  What is going on?

It is not possible to transfer a number between two Sky sims if this is what you are trying to do so you have a couple of options:

 

You could call Sky to ask them to cancel this new sim you activated and then use the one you have in your new phone.

 

You could either use the sim you have or if you want to transfer the number you have to the new sim then you would need to use a Pac code to transfer your current sim number to a PAYG network and then use another pac code you get from them to transfer it back to your new Sky sim.
