New phone no sim

I ordered a phone for my daughter. I chose not to add a data plan as we didn't want her to have access to the internet outside of the house. Just calls and texts. The phone has arrived but no SIM card. Do you not get a SIM card without a data package?

Hi @Dave390  thats correct, you need to order a sim with a data plan, that comes with calls and texts.

@Dave390  All sky mobile sims are data packages with free UK (01, 02 & 03 & UK Mobile) calls & Texts, did you order a sim at all, it sounds like you didn't therefore none will have been sent.

Sky don't have Calls & Text only sims packages.

They do offer occassionally a 100MB data sim for either free or low cost, you could see if that is available instead?

Thanks for the reply's. No I didn't order a data package. I thought the phone would come with a sim anyway and she could

use it for calls and texts outside of the house and log onto the WiFi at home

You need a SIM for a cellular connection outside the house.  (As noted, you need a dataplan to get the calls/texts)

It can connect to WiFi without one though...
