New phone arriving but not going to be in

Hello has anyone has their phone delivered and not been at home but someone else is there to collect your order. Just reading online that DPD may ask for photo ID but I have been called into work. Just worried they won't leave my order with my house mate.

As it seems your housemate won't have the same surname as you, if the DPD driver requires photo I.D. then there likely to refuse delivery. They don't always ask for the photo I.D. though and take a photo of the device being handed over on the doorstep. You should be sent a 1 hour time slot anyway if that helps with popping home for that time period.
