New iPhone with eSIM,

My iPhone has and eSIM and I have transferred it onto a new iPhone handset and now I can't phone or text. The guy at Sky sent me a physical sim also, I have no idea if I'm meant to activate the physical sim or if I'll end up with 2 billing sims if I do so. Either way I can't phone Sky for hep as neither handsets are getting calls, etc... please help

If you activate the physical sim as a replacement and not as a new one then it should replace the esim.

 

Regarding the new phone you transferred the esim to, is that also an iphone ?

Hi, I was worried and assumed there would be no need for a physical sim as my old iPhone had an edit and my new iPhone has an eSIM 😳 going to phone sky after work with my hubby phone as I can't phone on either handset now 😢

That was meant to say old iPhone has eSIM and new iPhone has eSIM

If this is an iphone refresh the network settings so go Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Then go to Settings - Phone - My Number and change it if it is wrong, then reboot the phone. You will need to set up your Wifi connection again.
