Network locked

Hi, my Mum switched to Sky mobile yesterday but cannot make or receive calls. Her screen reads 'network locked'. What do we need to do to overcome this please? The chat it has been utterly useless. Btw her handset is a Samsung A20e and was long out of contract with EE

Did she get that phone she is using from Sky or is she a sim only customer ?

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.
