Monaco roaming charge

Hello.

I've seen the roaming charge for using 0.12GB of data in Monaco, which is absolutely insane!

I used more data in France with only being charged a few pounds.

I have lots of roll over data in my piggy bank, please can you use this to avoid such a high charge please?

Many thanks,

Kate

@Katedixon  Monaco is not classed as Europe but Rest of the work, all relevant romaing charges are detailed here https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-mobile-roaming-rest-of-the-world

Tariff guide is here https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-mobile-tariff-guide

It is advisable to check before you travel.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

@Katedixon

For France the charge is £2 for every 24 hours where Monaco is a rest of the world country where these charges apply:

£2,160 per GB (yes this is correct)

£2.16 per minute Calls to local or UK mobile and landline numbers

£1.80 per minute to receive calls

£0.50 per text message to UK numbers and mobiles

£0.58 per picture message(MMS)

All is explained here:

Unfortunately not.  Any 'rest of world' location is by billing only.

(Too late now) but Sky has advice for 'Accidental Roaming': https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-mobile-roaming-destinations-and-charges  (Monaco is explicitly listed)

You can try calling Sky (on 150) and see if they can do anything under goodwill.  I presume your spendcap wasn't set?

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

France is in the EU where £2 'roaming' applies.  Monaco (quite famously) is not, mostly on account of been an actual old-fashioned monarchy.
