I'm thinking of swapping my phone for a newer model but don't understand what the £20 upfront charges. I've never seen that before so this is putting me off.

Hi @Simmerdownbee  some phones now require an upfront payment, it's as simple as that. Sometimes if a customer just passes the credit checks from sky that an additional upfront payment is required. This comes off the total bill for the phone.

Yup, any upfront payments simply reduce the monthly charge.  (Albeit by not a lot)
