I had the same issue and I'm in Folkestone Kent. Sky said it was a mast issue but seems to me to be an o2 issue! Trouble is companies seem to have problems with being honest with customers about what is really going on especially when it comes to security issues and seeing as you don't live anywhere near me it sounds more like a security problem

Sky piggyback off O2's coverage.

Mast issues are just locally based. Sky don't own or maintain any masts so once the mast in question is fixed you should hopefully be okay. Nothing to do with security.
