@Ansdell1

You can't use a Pac code to move a number from one Sky sim to another Sky sim so you have a few options.

You could call Sky to ask them to cancel this new sim you activated and then use the one you have.

You could either use the sim you have or if you want to transfer the number you have to the new sim then you would need to use a Pac code to transfer your current sim number to a PAYG network and then use another pac code you get from them to transfer it back to your new Sky sim.

Re: Keeping same number

Why can't be a simple process moving from 2gb to 10gb and keep my old number.

It can be if you had ordered the 10GB data plan on the sim you already had but from what you have said it appears you ordered a new sim.

Re: Keeping same number

I am currently on 2gb monthly plan, during my broadband renewal sky offered me 10gb plan for less than existing plan . They sent me new SIM card which requires activation, however, I want to keep my number but my understanding from your answer it is not possible. Am I missing something here.? I am no technical person, just need step by step instructions how to use the new upgrade.

@Ansdell1  Yes, you should have upgraded the exisiting sim, however you wouldn't get the always same deal as these deals are always for new/additional sims.

The adviser should have explained this to you.
