The answer is yes, you can get a phone on the Swap contract but you don't have to swap if you don't want to as you can see the contract right out so it would belong to you. With 12 months left to go on the contract is when you have this decision to make so it will be up to you if you want to swap then or keep paying the phone off for the last 12 months.
