Issues with new iPhone 16 data transfer from existing mobile

I currently have an iPhone 14+ I have just received an iPhone 16 pro Max. I've proceeded to do the transfer from the old phone to the new phone, but when it comes to signing into my Apple ID I'm getting a verification issue, I know the password is correct as I've signed in and out on two other devices without issue. I have previously done my wife's iPhone 14 to a new 16 without any issues so not sure what's wrong, could the handset be faulty?

Thank for your assistance, I couldn't get it to work via phone but I managed to get around it.
