I have 2 sims one for me and one for my wife we both have an Alcatel 1B phone pretty basic and since porting our numbers across from Plusnet we have had so many problems when sending and receiving calls and texts as in when we make a call sometimes our number will show as a completely different number same with texts. I called my wife once which is stored under her name and it called someone completely different in my phone book even though her name was shown on the screen whilst the call was being made but it doesn't always happen same with texting the text will show with a different number. It's the same for my wife. I have ordered replacement sims although we have only been with them a couple of months. Please help.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreSince transferring your numbers to the Sky sims have you checked the your phone is now displaying the correct numbers because if it is wrong in both phones you should be able to change it,

I have done all that today but still doesn't work it's worse with texts. I just don't understand I have called sky and they have said exactly the same to make sure the numbers are registered to the sim but still nothing. May have to call them again. Didn't have this issue with the other sims I'm confused.

That was the first thing I did just waiting on them. Hoping that sorts the issue out 🤞

Possibly a network settings issue? Have you tried to request these setting to make sure the receiving / send settings from texts that enables your data is correct for these sims / phones?
