Were these payments on a direct debit or a continuous card payment you'd previously set up?

Were your mobile services restricted before the April and May payments?

A 'huge amount' could imply they've cancelled the credit agreement and are now seeking full repayment.

I agree with @PandJ2020 which is why I asked whether services have been restricted for a while.

If your payment is 2+ weeks overdue you will have to pay the next bill as well. If you’re in arrears for 56+ days Sky can fully terminate your subscription (but you’ll still owe the arrears).

If this is part of a credit agreement purchase (including Sky Mobile) non payment can see the credit agreement cancelled at which point the full amount becomes due in one payment.
