Imposition 5G

Is the imposition of 5G the reason why I have no mobile access, in or out! Sky states it has no 5G coverage. I didn't ask for 5G set up & can't change back to 4G.

I DO NOT LIKE having no phone coverage.

Sky entertainment package seems to function ok, but I don't do this on my phone.

What do you mean by this?

5G is in addition to 4G.

@Impositionof5G

4G is the default with Sky as with them you have to activate the 5G add on so did you do this ?

Re: Imposition 5G

I mean that my WiFi is showing as 5G as of very recently & Sky has no coverage in 5G for mobiles. I don't know how to transfer back to 4G.

Do I need a new SIM, to change phone provider, or is there a switch I can click to get my phone call back?

No I did not change to 5G. I wouldn't have a clue how to. It suddenly appeared as 5G.

I think you mean your mobile data shows as 5G as this isn't something that is available via wifi.

What device do you have ?

Re: Imposition 5G

My phone is a Galaxy A33  - a couple of years old now but capable of 5G.

I should point out that I am not a technical person but I try to keep up.. 🙂

Try this:

Open Settings on your phone.

Tap Connections.

Select Mobile networks.

Tap Network mode.

Choose an option that includes 4G.

WiFi and cellular (4G/5G) are completely different ways of delivering data.

WiFi is supplied by a broadband router (usually in houses and businesses) and Cellular is provided over the air using masts.

Your phone will automatically try to connect to the fastest cellular service (5G) unless you change the cellular settings to limit it (to 4G).
