Re: I have the suspicion that Sky's virtual assistant designed their current phone swap service?

I should complete this saga for the benefit of those reading this in future.

My new Flip7 arrived as predicated by DHL yesterday. So, all good there.

Spent several hours transferring my stuff from my old Flip5 to it and then trying to remember endless passwords. (Not helped by MS Authenticator wanting me to confirm it was me by telling it the code it has sent to itself that I couldn't get to until I had logged on to it which I couldn't do with the number that it had sent itself.....ad infinitum. Not Sky's fault but what is it about IT people that their logic is so byzantine and self-defeating?)

So, I have still to return the old phone which I will do today and then potentially have another conversation with them when they tell me the return window has closed because they delivered the return box two weeks before the new phone arrived.

There is one final twist. The new phone comes with a Watch8. Although it didn't arrive with the phone yesterday, it is, according to DHL, arriving today. One can't help wondering why they didn't pack it with the phone yesterday or pack it with the phone and deliver both today. Would have cost them less, inconvienced me less (waiting in for the deliveries) and used a little less diesel.

Instead they have manufactured three separate deliveries (an empty box, a phone and a watch) when one would have been sufficient (all three at once).

Again I wonder at the competence of the virtual assistant (I assume is) running this process. Surely no human intelligence would lack such common sense?
