How to send phone for swap

I recently ordered a new phone, and need to send the old one back as a swap.

i have the packaging and returns label, which I believe I am supposed to use to send the swapped phone back to them - but as the phone value is over £100 it suggested to send it back as special delivery, not using the prepaid label included in the phone.  If I do it this way, how would Sky know the phone was from me?  The special delivery label wouldn't have all the details they include on the pre paid label- the customer reference, or either of the barcodes/qr code if they are using them for internal purposes to track the return.

If there are 2 labels, which one does Royal Mail scan?  It would depend on whatever way they picked the parcel up or put it through one of their machines - so they could scan the tracking on either side of the box, and the tracking would update at different points against the different numbers.
