Have I been scammed?

Hi there,

not really looking for a solution as I assume it's being dealt with albeit VERY slowly by Sky.

I ordered an iPhone 16 256gb on 28th Dec.
after DPD not arriving next day they decided to turn up the day after which was great.

when I opened the sealed box there was a pair of £20 JVC earbuds inside and NOT my iPhone.

anyone else had this? I can only assume someone at the warehouse has switched the phone out as the box was sealed as "tamper proof".

When we spoke to Sky literally 10 mins after delivery I was told it will take 72hrs to resolve. Now been told to wait a further 4 days!!!

@ikinch

Unfortunately this time of incident is becoming more frequent. You need to allow Sky time to conduct an investigation in conjunction with DPD.

Issues like this do take a while to resolve as Sky will need to carry out an investigation into how this has happened and I'm afraid these things do take time and possibly longer than a week.

All providers are affected by this.  There does appear to be someone perpetrating fraud in the supply chain...

Sky have been 'scammed' too.  However, they have to deal with it and the customer.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own

Cheers all.
Shame this can happen. It's been a week but with BH, ironically I'll just keep phoning.

Yes, you'll need to contact Sky ASAP.

There's a way to unstick the sealed part on the box as I've seen a video on how it's done. Once resealed it looks normal/sealed. Sounds like this has occurred,

Virginia.
I don’t work for Sky.
If I have helped then please leave a like.
