Error code 0 when abroad

Error code 0 when sending a text from abroad - im in tenneriffe, im being charged £2 for every 24 hours to use my data but i cant send a SMS i sent one when i first arrived succesfully but now code 0 is all i get. Its really poor ad i had trouble on my last trip to malaga

Yes i can call back to the uk no problem and i can brows fine
