is there was a to completely deactivate voicemail? I want it so that the caller does not have the option to leave a voicemail, so if either just rings out or stages that they need to send a text. Is this possible?

Hi @Tamz1407
Voicemail can’t be switched off completely. But, to stop people leaving you voicemail messages, turn message recording mode off.
On your phone:
- Dial 759.
 - Press 3.
 - Press 5.
 - Press 1.

Hi
This is to add to your advice. Since IOS 18 came out you now have to also go into settings on your phone, otherwise the advice you gave, which used to work, won't solve the problem. Basically after 759 3 5 1 you then go into settings then apps then phone then live voicemail. Turn off live voicemail then nobody can leave you messages. If you want to change to allow live voicemail at any time then just repeat the above but turn live voicemail ON. I hope this is helpful to people. I only found out about it myself today the 8th of August 2025.
Thank You
Kane
