Deactivate SIM phone call

I received a phone call today from a +44 number stating my sim was being deactivated. Is this genuine?

Hi @KB9090  not unless you haven't paid your bills. It's usually a scam to get your personal details, they then order phones on your account and trick you into returning them to the scammer rather than sky.

@KB9090

It is a scam call so did you give them any details that they asked for as this is what will happen if they do get access to your account:

The thing to remember here is that Sky do not deactivate sim cards.

Sky wouldn't be calling to advise even if that were the case.
