Coverage in Turkey

I'm on holiday in Turkey and I'm only getting 3G or 4G why am I not getting 5 G

Because 5G hasn't been deployed in Turkey - 2026 is targeted.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

5G coverage in Turkey is currently limited, with the technology primarily being tested in certain areas and not yet broadly available. While Turkey's mobile operators are actively testing 5G, particularly in Istanbul, nationwide 5G licensing is still pending

Note Sky itself doesn't have a cellular network even in the UK: it uses O2 masts here.

 

Expecting that kind of infrastructure in many countries just isn't realistic yet, particularly, as @Daniel0210 indicates, where there are regulatory (and sometimes cultural) as well as technical, geographical and economic obstacles to overcome.
