Confused about Ipad Data Sim Swap

Hi

I have just moved from O2 to sky for mobiles and ipad data sims, but I am a little confused over the process for swapping the sims over in the ipads. I didn't need to get PAC codes from O2, but when I go into sim activation on Sky it says something about a STAC code but doesn't explain anything more. 

Can anyone advise further please?

Hi @Eagle12  see below for what a STAC is. 

STAC stands for Service Termination Authorisation Code, and it's a code that allows you to switch to a new network without keeping your old number

Thank you for the information.

 

I have informed O2 and they have cancelled my data sims (had to give 30 days notice), so assume I still need to contact them again to get the STAC codes?

Hi @Eagle12  if you have cancelled then you shouldn't need the STAC. I think the STAC is available so you don't have to contact your old network directly, you can do it without contact.

I also have to add that I can't text for a STAC code as my phone and ipad are linked fort texts

As you have contacted O2 to cancel the sims then you do not need to do anything else with them so you can use your Sky sim in the device(s).
