Confirmation code for ESIM not received - losing faith
I have activated my new esim but I have not received a confirmation code so that I can install the esim on my phone. Sky says that they emailed the confirmation code but I did not get any such email.
I have talked to 3 sky employees over 2 days who have told me different things. The first said I didn't need a confirmation code and that the esim was installed on my phone if I scanned the QR code and he took me through all his standard the trouble shooting steps to get me network service whcih didnt work. This took a whole day 9:30am to 5pm over the whatsapp support. The second said that it can take up to 24 hours following activation for the network service to start and that I should wait. I contacted Sky again after more than 24 hours after activation. The third Sky employee said that there is a backlog in people receiving confirmation codes and that I need to wait up to 48 hours more to receive it.
Does anyone know if Sky can manually issue a confirmation code to install an esim? Is it true that there is a back log in the system for sending confirmation codes by email?
I am losing faith that there is a resolution for me. Very unhappy with Sky so far and feel that each person I speak to is trying to fob me off.

I have the exact same problem. Spoke with a few different people and they are sending me a physical sim. Supposed to be here today but didn't show up and with Christmas I assume I won't get it until late next week if I'm lucky. I currently don't have access to my mobile number which I need.
- I had the exact same thing happen about 6 months ago and it looks like sky have done nothing to rectify this.
My advise, don't go down through route of an esim unless you need to. You will get this issue when you need to transfer it to a new phone.
